In celebration of Labor Day I've been laboring. Finally have this prop finished.

Children of the night... What music they make.

Looking good! At the beginning of the video, when I saw the feet, I was thinking it was going to walk around!

I was one of the first to post the great stuff smear idea. I think it works great for adding some organic texture.

Another fantastic looking spider! How did you build the spider's head? I'm about to start on this step for mine and any suggestions would be very helpful!
I wish everyone was as kind as creepycathy!

tk421, jacking someones thread.... Shame on you

Tekcore1, I used plastic shopping bags bunched up for the armature, used 4 layers of paper mache, covered the mache with dry wall compound which probably wasn't necessary, used foam balls cut in half for the eyes, and used the cotton ball and latex technique for the skin.

Fantastic job! I like the hairy legs, it reminds me of European women in the sixties. I'm going to try that smearing Great Stuff with a rubber glove that TK421 came up with . It will be as a base for SEVERE rust on my witch's cauldron. Anyway great job Hauntcast. Spiders will rule this Halloween!
