So first i'm pretty upset we had to move this year from Florida up to Colorado and I do love it here BUT... there are really no children. SO because of the move and starting a new job the last 4 months I've hadn't had time nor space to build any props and YES i'm upset and the only folks who would understand are you guys!! So I have 6acres which isn't the issue it's that Halloween is coming up soon... So the lay of the land.. My front yard is setup as zero landscape meaning rocks and dead wood tree beside the on front area where there is a 20/20 section of grass with a old
cowboy type fence around it with gates as well as the front which has a old wagon you know cowboy look and lots of rocks.. Because of the
I can't go big this year next year was thinking a full western theme maybe, anyway i was thinking about doing several areas where I would build
up the rocks place maybe yellow lights pointing up a shovel and making it appear like someone was digging up bodys.. and in the wagon maybe a set of feet hanging out? Then the witch from last year I was going to make her look more evil holding a apple and (the part i need help with) maybe a few gnomes or drawfs as if they were digging up the body's and bring them to her? I've done alot in paper machea in the past but just not sure... or i can do a pumpkin patch with a big stand up pumpkin guy in all black at the end and just look forward to christmas building and Halloween nest year and YES I know I'm being a baby! That why you guys would only understand!

How about a "lost gold mine" type theme, cursed gold and such.

Being from the Canadian prairies I've seen lots of people decorate for Halloween in the western theme. Those old hay wagons are fabulous covered with straw, pumpkins and the odd cowboy skeleton (bones with the cowboy hat, boots and bandana still in place. Swing the odd hangman's noose from a tree. Sounds like that grass section would be great for an old cowboys grave yard (Boot Hill) using your own homemade gravestones. Build a "dirty rotten" crew of mean old cowboy scarecrows. Find or make a CD with wolf and coyotes hauling in the background. I think you've gone some pretty amazing ideas cooking in your imagination. Have fun in your new digs, just think of all the roam you have to work with and no your not being a baby! Happy creating....

Hadn't thought about that and maybe a zombie towards the end or whatever with gold and stuff all around him?
