here is my 1st attempt at making a bust from paper mache'
the flash from the camera has taken a lot of detail away and i dont know how to turn the flash off yet lol
suggestions for improvements will be appreciated

He's bootiful! My only recommendation would be to send it to me. Great job.

Smaller hat maybe? So you can see more of the skull. But really, it's pretty great as it is.

I think he looks fantastic. The only suggestion I could possibly make would be to give him a name plate, but even without that is looks great. Love the thin hair!

i was wondering if his hat was a lil big, its actually hard plastic that i found at goodwill. i will make him a paper mache' hat and make it smaller.

as for the name plate...... thanks for the suggestion! sounds like a great idea!!!!!!! so now help me name him please

This! If you could do a maché hat that would be awesome. Only other suggestion I could think of is mixing up a really thin wash of yellowish brown and brush it on to tone down the bright white shirtfront/collar. It's too crisp and clean. I'd do some pooling by drizzling it into the crevasses of where the neck meets the collar and let it dry so it ages it and looks like old dirt and build-up that a statue/bust would develop when neglected.

I think he looks great. Just change the hat. That hat looks like the cheap plastic ones used to celebrate the new year.
