I need tons of Spanish Moss. I found 8 ounces at Joanns for $2.49 or $2.79.

HOWEVER, at an Online Pet Store, you can get an 8 QUART bag for $4.99!

Thoughts? I thinks I am getting my Spanish Moss at a pet store!

I never thought of pet stores for spanish moss for Halloween props. However, it does make sense. It's there probably for substrate for some kind of animals.

People do sell whole boxes of spanish moss on ebay. I bought some years ago and still have plenty left.

LOL! I hear that....problem is that this damn drought has killed that too, so we can't even harvest it off live oaks here by the gulf.

But it makes for a great decorative effect and it cheap.

Use gloves and clean and dry thoroughly before decorative use. You can probably find instructions on how to do this somewhere on the internet.

Hmmm, I found a page that states 8 quarts = 32 cups. They said the measurement applies to liquid and bulk food. 32 cups of spanish moss for $4.95 plus shipping may beat the Dollar Tree price of $1 per bag.
Shipping is $5.95....
Does everybody think the Dollar tree moss is a good value? It's not super flimsy or thready looking? LOL

I use Dollar Tree moss on mask's and props..its sturdy as far a moss goes, if that makes sense.
