Looks like we missed out on a good idea for a group buy....

Electric Goldmine had a G16034 12VDC gear motor in stock earlier this week but for some strange reason after my inquiry as to what power supply would go with it, they seem to have removed the item from stock,HUMMMM !

I found two places that have them.
One wants $7.95 each, the other $9.00.

Just a note...after seeing your Tuts Daveinthegrave, you know i went looking for the motor. The one site you have for 7.95, i know which it is, i used. I ordered just 3, but I ordered on 31Aug, and it shipped 1Sep. So if nothing else, they have them in stock and ship immediately. Thanks again for your dedication to our crazy hobby!

If I ever run across any alternatives to the vent motor, I'll post it.

There have to be other similar units out there, wouldn't you think? I'm sure that particular model of Chryslers of whatever they were can't be the only one that uses a motor in the vent. Finding them in sufficient quantities would be the problem though. It sounds like maybe Chrysler ordered more of this particular part than they ended up building cars, so they had a large overstock.

i need to talk to a serious auto dismantler, one who really gets up there under the dashboard.

Hey Dave.... thanks for the info. on the vent motor. Just went on line and purchased 2. They will look good in the plots I am building. Will send a picture when done for all to see. Deadview will look great this year with all the new friends that will be hanging out.
