I've looked over the site and I cannot seem to find a tutorial on how to make a pandora's box. Any ideas? Suggestions? Thank you.

Is that with or without all the world's evils inside?

Either, I would love to have it look realistic so people know what it is without having to be told too.

I'm not aware of any "traditional" look for Pandora's box. Maybe cover it in Greek letters or something. But I don't really think there's any way to get people who are only vaguely familiar with mythology to recognize it.

Is there something about the scene that it will be set in to suggest what it is? The "box" was likely actually a jar, so maybe a Grecian-style urn would be appropriate, with as Xane said, Greek lettering, symbols, etc. Perhaps have the lid ajar with the evils contained within escaping.

If you wanted to stay with the "box" image, perhaps have an ornate lidded box open with the word "hope" inside ("Hope" was the one thing that was not released into the world when Pandora opened the box, so mankind always had hope to hold onto in times of strife).

But unless there's something else to indicate what it is, I think many people would miss its significance.

Well, it was in the Lara Croft movie, surely that's what it really looked like.

Both of you make valid points. Sometimes its hard for me to look out of the boX (no pun intended) when i have a image others might not realize what iit is. I plan on adding Pandora's box to my witch, tarot card, spells room.

Why don't you put it on a shelf with a label under it and and maybe label a few other things in the room. Use it as a display piece. Just a thought.
