I just found an awesome source for what appears to be the exact unit that is being sold on halloween control sites.

There might be some less expensive sources out there if we look into the company that makes these but man was I surprised.

It looks like we should be keeping an eye on home automation and automatic sprinkler systems as they seem to have a lot of stuff we can adapt to our uses and even stuff that is being rebadged and resold.
