Earlier this year, a few people posted that they bought the flamingos from the Dollar Tree to make vultures out of them. I ran to the dollar tree and picked up a couple and then waited patiently to see how this was done but nobody has posted. So, I decided to just do one and see how it turned out. I am posting a pic of what it ended up looking like but, I'm sure other people have done a much better job. Please feel free to post pics of yours or give me pointers on how to make it better. I don't care for the bent beak but couldn't think of a way to make it more pointy..
    Anyway.. here it is.. lol

    i like it alot
ive been waiting too and havent seen any yet either. but i googled and found this pic.
i thinks its a great idea and now i have to go to the DS to see if they have any.
im thinking about cutting off the neck where it meets the body and also cutting off the head and re-gluing them back on at different angles with epoxy then i can get different looks from the same structure. ie......head and neck down eating prey, head tilted to the side looking up .... etc.
hope this might help a lil

Yes! I must have some in my flock. We have flamingos for all seasons in our yard. I will be putting out red, white and blue flamingos for Labor Day weekend soon, then the fall colors come out - orange, yellow, red, bronze. I slowly replace them with black, white and skelemingos as Halloween draws closer. Yeah, my neighbors love me.

I started my skeleton Flamingos for this year. I have to find a better method of painting them. The flamingos I bought on clearance have textured feathers which I think will make it difficult to use a stencil method. But painting both sides of all of them by hand will take longer than I care to spend on them.
