Kymmm you did a great job! I love it. I'll probably do something similar now that I've seen how cute they can be.
njwilk...cute idea with the year-round flamingos. When we bought this house, I teased (but was half serious) about putting out flamingos in the yard. I might actually be able to get away with it if I follow your lead!

We're going as fast as we can as soon as we can. We're in a race against time until we run out of money.

This may be stating the obvious (sorry) but you can buy them, too. Though that's not nearly as much fun.

Nice job Kymmm!!! That is too cute. My dad has some turkey decoys that I have my eye on...
Masquerading as a normal person is getting exhausting

Aaaprn.
I have a great time with the flamingos and my neighbors join in the fun. Two years ago I made little balls of pink fluff with beady eyes and had them "hatch" out of plastic eggs. Hatched a small plastic alligator from one of the eggs, some neighbors then gave me some little rubber snakes to hatch from other eggs. I have found painted pink eggs, a small nest, a packet of "Flamingo Birth Control Pills" (breath mints of some sort) and a card congratulating us on the new additions after the last population explosion. Several neighbors have given me flamingos.
I have red, white and pink birds for Valentine's Day; orange, white and green for St. Patrick's Day; all red for Chinese New Year; yellow, pink and light green for Easter; red, white and green for Christmas; and obviously enough variety to put out a rainbow of birds for gay pride week. Plus the red, white and blue birds for patriotic holidays and the fall colors I mentioned before.
I'm a lousy gardener, but my yard is always full of color.

Thanks so much for the great idea. I made mine this weekend and they are going to be awesome in the graveyard. Used batting instead of feathers around the neck since they'll be outside and I've seen what the rain does to fluffy feathered decorations.

I like it too Kymm, love the white feathers. I hope my daughter does not see these or I will be back in the garage heat or no heat.
