Well, it only took three years but I have finally finished my cemetery gate. I modified Dave Llewellyn’s design from Raven Manor. I added caster’s to the gates, cast iron finals and readily detachable hinges to the gate columns.
Each gate weighs about 30 lbs. I added a hatch to the bottom of the gate columns to add metal weights for additional stability.
I added lights to the gate columns and fence columns. I still haven’t finished the darn cemetery sign. …It’s on the list…..

Your columns and gate look terrific! Great work. I also built my columns using the Raven Manor design. They've been going strong for 4 years now.

Great job! I so wish I had the budget to make columns, but it seems like lately we've been having new babies to feed every Halloween! LOL

Those look fantastic! Love the detail on the gate, especially the finials. Please do post pics of everything when it is all set up.

Thank you. The columns were not too expensive. The only babies these days I have to worry about is the growing clowder of cats at my house.
