Anyone who bought these from Jack's Toolshed last year beware. They must've gotten a lot of orders from people last year, because instead of being 85 cents each like they were last year the price is now $3.00. Found this site instead where they are .75 cents each if you buy 48.

Are these the same lights in the other (massive) thread?

Yes, I have experienced them. Buying 4 last year from Jacks, the light after about an hour or so does dim significantly in my opinion. For $3 or anything over a dollar I would not buy them again knowing this. I ended up losing the lights to my ex girlfriend, but if I were to do lights again, I would invest in the cheaper flood lights which don't give "spot light" affects but it gives it more of an eerie look which I find better.

Yeah, especially the red ones, but I bought enough I replaced a round of them and they got me through the night. I want to look into what you're talking about also this year though.

Yup, I bought the red ones. I wasn't pleased with the effect I got. Hopefully they will be better for someone else.

The issue with these mini-lights is that they're made as disposable party favors. They have tiny little batteries in them that will only last a few hours, which is fine if you just want to dance and run around. I got some last year and was disappointed, they got very dim after a couple of hours and were useless. For lighting a haunt, you want something that either runs off bigger batteries or a wall wart. I made some LED spotlights according to one of the plans here and they lasted all night running off a 9V battery.

I got a bunch of these lights last year and they were perfect. I still have all of them. We had them on about 6 hours halloween night. Not worth $3.00 a piece that's for sure.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

You can get the same price per light buying as few as 12.
