ok so i have no idea what kind of air compressor to use with the web gun, can someone take a look at the link and let me know if i can use that air sompressor for it. i'm trying to keep costs down so if you know of any good ones that work with the gun i would appreciate it.

No. This is an air compressor designed for tires or sports balls. The one you need for webcaster gun will have to have at least a 5 gallon tank. It will need quick connect air fittings and be designed for use with air powered tools. Even with my 5 gallon, I periodically run out of air, and need to wait for the compressor to build up pressure again.

I'm wondering how far you'd get with a tank. I may or may not get a compressor this year, but I do know people who have a compressor and air tanks. Something tells me this probably wouldn't work too well, though.

Yes these air powered webbers are air hogs ! I tried my 5 gal 2HP compressor I use for my nail gun & I even added a spare 5 gal tank to it & it still runs out pretty fast,......

Absolutely. I saw a nice kobalt brand one from lowes for around 300 this summer. Another trip to the store may be in order...
