Thread: Need help cauldron not working with gemmy cauldron witch!!!

Hi guys I'm sorry if this issue has already been discussed but I searched for it here and at this time can't find it due to our forum upgrade. I need some help. We took out our Cauldron Witch and her cauldron is not working period! Wont lite up red inside or smoke. Has anyone else had this problem with the cauldron?? If so were you able to fix it??? Thanks guys any info will help. Mind you she was never displayed outside, always put back in her box for storage ,and no kids ever touched her! So all this money we bought her in 2008 is now wasted if we can't get her cauldron to work. Thanks in advance!

Is it just the cauldron not working or the entire witch/cauldron unit? If it's just the cauldron, I'd really check the connection ends and maybe run a tester on the connection cord that runs from the witch to the cauldron (mine's REAL sensitive to the connection). If its the whole witch unit, it could be a blown fuse in the transformer. I accidently made a hook-up error at the cauldron last year and blew the snot out of my transformer fuse. It's a 125v, 5 amp fuse wired into the transformer block. If it's toast, you'll have to cobble in a replaceable fuse holder (Radio Shack), and set in a new fuse.

Thanks for the info! I too think we had the wrong plugs in her last Halloween. Last night we hooked her up and she herself works fine. Its just the cauldron. I was wondering if their is a way that we can open it and insert a new mister inside??

I just did an edit on this, but cannot change my title so now I am going to advise the person having problems with the cauldron. I, too just had problems and posted a question, but I fixed my problem. Please unplug your witch. Unplug all the wires that lead to the bottom base where her dress lies then plug them back in. I must not have had a tight enough connection because my cauldron is now working after I unhooked all the wires then plugged them back in. I'm sure your cauldron will start working again too. You need to do this and not just look and assume they are tight connections because mine looked tight though they must not have been. You should have two wires that hook into the base (where feet should be) that you need to unplug. Hope your cauldron will start misting again!!!
