I am trying to get my prop to move his arm up. I found an actuator to do this, but I did not whant to spend the $$$ on it. I am trying to stay under $100 (that includes the control as well.) The actuator, power supply and control I am looking at is about $200.) I need about 2" of stroke and about 7lb of force.

    Thanks

If constantly going up and down is an option, a motorized mechanism would be very easy and under budget

As Mr Chicken said you could probably use one of those vent motors with a crank arm and make it work. Just my thoughts.........
