I'm about at my ends here and thought I would see if anyone else has found a solution to this problem.
I've got a zombie built on top of a shiatsu massager with 2 pvc pipes going up attached to the 2 stubby spring army on the massager. The problem is they keep unscrewing themselves after a minute or two. I've tried both directions and it doesn't stop the problem... also tried to gorilla glue them in and that just lasted an extra minute before they popped off. I'm on epoxy putty now to see if that helps lock them in place but has anyone had this problem and been able to fix it easily?
I have another prop that uses a shiatsu but it's little arms are not screw on's so this one does not have that problem.

I would try JB weld. I would think that would do it easilly.

epoxy resin crapps out I might have to try that next. It's about to become a static prop if I can't get this thing fixed soon.

If you mean you have actual screws holding them in, get Loctite for screws. They have one that can be removed with heat, one that can't. The permanent version is stronger but if the screws eventually shear off you wont' be able to remove them even with a specialized recovery bit.

this might not help, but have you tried a small screw through the side of the pvc pipe into the shiatsu hub?
assuming the shiatsu hub/knob is plastic you would not have to screw anything onto it, only slip it over the top and screw it on. thats what i did.

Agree with MadMax -post a picture! I wonder if you could use a pin made to rotate instead of a screw? Hard to say unless you post a pict, or better yet throw something up on Youtube and let us look at the problem actually happening.
I'm doing one of these this year too, and I'm basing my build on:

The extensions on the tips of the massager screw on springs unlike my last one that was a solid piece. I picked up some jb weld yesterday and it seems to have locked the buggers in so they are not popping off any more. The motion around was causing them to unscrew after a minute or so. I'll testit some more and hopefully this solved the issue.

I made mine like this:

the PVC slips over the spinning posts so you just get the rotating action, and the plumbers tape keeps everything from falling off.
