    Hey everyone, I bought a solenoid from fright props, and it has 2 black wires. They said they are interchangeable. I connected the wires with some caps, however I don't hear a click when I plug it in. It is 110vac. Does anyone have a diagram or could help me on this?
    Creepy.

    The system is just a coil that energizes, so you just need the power to one wire and ground to another. Why are you installing caps?

    The caps are recommended to avoid noise or feedback to the prop controller. You use the high voltage caps on the AC solenoids and diodes and the DC solenoids.

    @mrdonezone

    Glad you figured it out, remember not to mix current types...

    Well, it's a good thing you were using 12 instead of 110, because if you 110 instead of 12 volts, you wiould be buying a new solenoid valve.
    Always scarying the YELL out of them.

    The reason I am installing caps is Is to connect the 2 raw wires on the solenoid to the raw wires from the ac plug
    Creepy.

    Ok, I call them Caps. I worked fine on my other solenoid, but on this one I may need something else.
    Creepy.
