I want to make a tombstone this year that hides away speakers inside it for sound throughout the cemetary im either thinking of putting a radio in it with speakers or something else. i dont want it to be a seperate unit id like it to be a tombstone in the front but still look natural not like a huge hump in the back. anyone have any ideas or pictures to give me a basic idea?
Thanks,
Chris
My first thought would be making a hollow tombstone out of wood or foam, and covering it with cloth to let the sound through. Making a hollow stone out of foam wouldn't be that hard, just glue the pieces together with construction adhesive. To make the sound come out, you could make a decorative frame design on it, and stretch fabric over the opening to make it look solid.
Another easy way would be to just make a small box out of wood, and put fabric over it like the way a canvas is, and paint it to look like stone. A little half circle of wood glued on top would make it look more realistic. This option would be good for a small speaker like desktop ones.
(The criss cross design on the picture indicates the fabric)
that sounds great! i am thinking wither making the whole unit in the tombstone or! have rock speakers in the cemetary and put the center console inside the hollow tombstone
