Your opinions are appreciated. Last year as I was rushing to finish up some prop repair before the creatures arrived to get their candy, my staple gun of 25 years died. (pause for a moment of silence) As we all know a staple gun is a must for prop building and quick repairs. The wide variety and selection of staple guns didn't exist 25 years ago when I purchased this one. Since Halloween is rapidly getting nearer, I am going to need a new staple gun. To my surprise, there are a wide variety of staple guns out there. So I ask you, my fellow haunters, what do you use and what do you recommend? I have a pneumatic nail gun, but I still need a handy staple gun. Thanks.

I like this gun. Mine has worked well for years. Of course I am not sure of the quality now.

The ergonomic design makes sense. You can use your weight to plant the staple. I have big hands so I have no problem with normal design guns, but some people struggle to pull them without losing contact with the staple point. This design eliminates all of that. Staple loading is different of course. More like loading a nail gun.

I have the Black & Decker Powershot. It takes 1/4" x 6mm stapels and also has a nice ergonomic design. It's almost like a pistol grip. Index finger through the single round hole and the middle, ring, and pinky fingers through the longer groove. It has never given me a jam since I got it about 10 years ago.

I know this may sound like I work for Black & Decker but I swear I don't...so here go's...If or when this one ever dies, I'll probebly get another just like it.

    Hope this helps, Marc V.

+1 for the PowerShot from BlacK and Decker. Gives a good throw and holds up to a bit of abuse. Just remember which end the staples come out of!

I got one of these at Menards for $15, and it is so much better than any heavy duty staple gun I've used. I use this in the garage for anything minor/major and we have a standard stanley we use indoors, but if your nail gun doesn't accept staples try this. As a girl, an electric is easier. If you are stapling A LOT you can run out of muscle power quick. This is mine but still underpowered: Amazon.com: Arrow Fastener ETF50BN Electric Staple Gun: Home Improvement If it keels over, gonna find a more powerful one.
