I started building my "Haunt Rod" prop, which is basically a go-kart similar to Dragula from the Munsters. Here's what I've got so far:

    - A 2x4 frame I plan to paint red.
    - An antique toe-pincher coffin I'm using for the body.
    - A 12" bicycle I found on CraigsList, to be used for the front wheels.
    - The front bumper/headlight assembly. I plan to put flicker bulbs in them.
    - Some conceptual drawings.

    Still to do:

    - Make a faux engine (I'm thinking steam-punkish).
    - A real, electric motor and battery to drive it.
    - 18" lawnmower wheels for the drive train.
    - A tombstone "rollbar" for the back.
    - Faux exhaust pipes.
    - Steering and throttle mechanism.
    - Miscellaneous, decorative "stuff."

One photo is of the main sub-assemblies and the other photo shows the parts placed together roughly in their final spots. Any ideas for the miscellaneous, decorative stuff?

LOVE THE HEADLIGHTS! Hilarious and awesome. What about using a little skeleton cranking a meat grinder as the engine?? Or a duo of skellies cranking on something as the motor. I love this thing. Who's going to be driving it??

Great work, brings back memories of the Munsters. I loved that episode.

How about Herman Munster holding on to the back of the car trying to stop it with smoke coming from the bottom of his feet?
    Boo!
