I've searched posts on here re: cheap cheesecloth and muslin, but most are from several years ago and are outdated (at least the ones I've found). Any recommendations on where to find this stuff CHEAP?? I would like to buy quite a bit.
    Thanks!!

Apparently the price include shipping. Price is per yard. 35 inches wide.

This problem seems to get worse every year. Most of us used to buy it at Wal-mart or Joann's for between .25 and .35 a yard - now it's terribly expensive. I've heard of some people still buying it at Joann's, but only with the 40-50% off coupons. Good luck! I need some this year too and I'm not looking forward to it. I use it all over the inside of my house plus on my FCG, which usually is about 12 yards....UGH!!

I bought some at Joann's yesterday. 6 feet for like 8 or 9 bucks I think... ya... I need it unfortunately for a ghost but if I could get it highly discounted somewhere online this year I would buy a lot. I remember a year ago there was a site when I first joined and it was at like 25 cents and they had hundreds and it sold out in a day once the site was posted on here... I will keep my eye out if anyone has a link with a discount code.

Definitely try JoAnns with the coupon for muslin. Some WalMarts have also started to add fabric sections back to their Super Center stores.

Thanks for the replies! Yes, from the posts I've seen a few years ago, this stuff has gotten quite expensive. One more question: does it really matter what type of "grade" cheese cloth to get? I would like to make ghosts, tattered window hangings, etc. Would grade 10 work, or should I go with 50? Thanks!!

If you can, get the tighter knit cheese cloth, but, its all on your personal style and type of look you want your projects to have. I originally started with grade 50 I believe, but after reworking it multiple times and them completely taking it off of my ghost frame then tearing it up a good amount, it now seems to have turned into grade 10 cheese cloth, which is pretty visible. Again, it depends on what look your going for. I ended up buying more cheese cloth so I can just layer it a few times to get the look I want.
