I kicked it into high gear today. This is another thing I started. The jacks will each have a channel on my Light-O-Rama and will flash in time with a song. I found an alternate version of Grim Grinning Ghosts I thought would work. The green stuff you see is none other than Great Stuff foam. I used some redneck engineering and made a mold for the foam out of aluminum foil and painted it after it dried. After the paint dries I'll glue some moss to it. This pic shows it about half done. I know the jack on the left looks like a basketball....all I can say is my grandma bought it for me last year, and it was something I didn't have to buy or build, so I had to use it. I little orange paint and it will look OK I guess.

BTW, should you attempt to build a mold out of aluminum foil and you plan on using electricity like I am, remember to peel the foil off after the foam dries, escpecially around electrical connections. I know you are thinking "DUH, metal conducts electricity so why would I put it near electricity" right? Well, I had a bit of an OOPS moment today...I didn't know foil exploded when you run a current to it. Thank you circuit breaker, you saved my life!

Can't wait to see this completed. I've wanted to do some version of talking jacks, either projected or lit and I can't figure out what to do.
As a side note - I know what you mean about Jerusalem crickets - we've found them in our house and yard - GACK!!!!! Alien insects!!
