I just finished this today. It's my first attempt at something like this. The name on the monument is my last name and I made the stencil from an actual headstone belonging to one of my ancestors. It stands about 5' tall. I used Hi-Rez's method for aging the candles. Hope you like it!

Lovely overall, but really love the greenish mossy aging effect! GREAT job!

Great job. I love variety in tombstones and grave markings.

I was hoping for a better backdrop than the huge mess that you see in the background. That's what my garage looks like until Halloween is over every year! As far as the monument goes, it's not perfect, but I made it out of stuff I had. I made that whole thing for the cost of a can of gray primer. It's made almost completely out of 3/4'' MDF, not foam. It's a little on the heavy side! You can see the screws in a few places. I tried to hide them the best I could, but I don't imagine you will see them at night.

HA HA!! That was my wife! She went to Sam's Club in Las Vegas with her aunt, and I lost all my work space in my garage. We don't have a Sam's Club or Costco where I live, so every time she goes, that's what happens. At least I won't be thirsty when I'm out there working.
