I've made 4 PCV skeletons the last 2 years and none of them have been decent enough to use. The amount of money I've spent on the materials I could have bought a real skeleton by now. I've followed numerous directions on this site and others and taken measurements from Zombietronix website, but still a big fat fail! I am on limited budget but I have alot of odds and ends of PVC pipe (no fittings) left and I am determined to make a decent skeleton which will stand up without having to lean up against a wall for support (usually my top half is too heavy apparently)
Any suggestions on how to make the easiest skeleton EVER.
Thanks.

Look in the tutorials section at unorthodox's skelly.
"BYOB paper mache skeleton".
I also have very limited funds and this one is super cheap. It is time consuming though. I have made some adjustments to mine but starting with his guide for cutting out the cardboard for the base is really helpful. I am using great stuff as well as paper mache on mine so i can cut out mache time.
I will start a thread on mine soon.

Use a blucky as a base and upgrade the head, hands and feet. It's a start!

Thank you, I am going to try the BOB one out, but it looks pretty tough. As far as a picture, I will get some up soon. Its going a little better after my husband reconstructed the little guys legs and hips for me. (Apparently I'm not as good with measurements as I thought

check through the comments on Breaker Mahoney's wall.... he addresses this problem... I believe it had somethin to do with driving stake into the ground that ran up into the pvc legs till about the thigh?!? ....something along those lines would salvage the ones ya got....... as for making more..... GraveCaptors got the right idea.... paper mache is cheap, looks great and if done properly it' can last..... also if ya got a few bucks layin around grab some heavy gauge wire and build an "armature" type thing for the skeleton.....then do the mache......that outta that get em standin

For what it's worth, I also have modified the process a bit here and there. But, I always go back to the Bob for measurements, especially the chest...Last edited by UnOrthodOx; 08-11-2011 at 01:02 PM.
