So I need to order a cylinder for my MIB build and I wanted some suggestions on the bore size. I'm going with either a 1 or 2" stroke and my actual box won't be more than 20 lbs.
I'm thinking a 3/4" bore should be able to do the job, any thoughts?
Also should I get a double acting or a spring return? I'm thinking a spring return should be good since I'm only making the box jump and the weight and spring should be enough to bring it back down.
Thanks for you anticipated replys.

3/4" should do the trick. I'm using a 1 1/16" but my box is going to weigh more than 20 lbs, maybe around 50.
(Im not the pneumatics expert though)

This is what I came out with
3/4dbl acting extend force 100psi=40lbs
Retract 100psi=35.1 lbs
7/8 snow act at 100psi= 60 lbs.
retract at 100psi=65.1
3/4 spring act 100psi=40lbs
Relaxed 3lbs
Compressed at 6lbs
I would go with a 3/4 2'' stroke dbl act
