OK - I was at the 2011 Haunt show in St. Louis this year. Many of the vendors were showing the newest blood 'paint.' This stuff was sold in two parts and seemed to remain glossy, wet-looking, and just perfect on the props. What companies sold them and what were they called??? I need to replace the older "stain" looking blood that I had on all my props.

Yes, perhaps it was Perma-Blood? He also sells Perma-Grime paint so perhaps that's why you were thinking it's in two parts? http://www.palenightproductions.com/blood.html
I have the Perma Blood and love it. Used it for this:

The blood you are talking about (I won't use the name) is a two part mix...This is the pigment they supposedly use

and just add liguid acrylic...at least that is the recipe that I found for it. I bought some and will try it out and post if you like...Whispers in the Park

It must be the perma blood I was looking at. I remember they had a large display with many bloodied items hanging and a metal bucket full of blood in their display. They showed the blood products in part a and part b metal paint-cans. I couldn't buy any at the time because I was flying home (but I should have ordered it then). Thanks all!

Theoretically, why couldn't you either:
A) buy red glue sticks - which probably wouldn't be quite the right color
B) use hot glue, then paint it yourself?
I'd imagine that either of those would save a few bucks.Recipe for haunting success-

May give in and buy a tube of epoxy colorant from West Marine to experiment with this a bit... haven't found any cheaper prices online that wouldn't be pointless after shipping anyway. $10 a tube just feels expensive to me. I've tried tinting epoxy with different kinds of acrylic paints but if you add too much (i.e. enough to make the color bright/deep) it doesn't harden properly. I'll probably need red and green to darken it more towards a real blood color.

I haven't found a way to 'tint' any glue or epoxy enough to look like the bright red blood they had at the show. It was good color, and appeared wet when dry. I have tried a dozen or so glues and different items to try to color or tint. Nothing has worked well for me.
