I have looked through the old threads for something on fixing up the ravens. Everything I have found is dealing with the animatronics. While I would love to do one of those one of these days, I was wondering if anybody had tricks or tips on taking the Micheal's type raven and giving him a little more life.
And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
I'm building an EAP tombstone so of course had to have a raven. It was pretty simple to insert a pair of blinking red LEDs for eyes. Rather than run the wires under the feathers on the outside, I used a piece of small diameter brass tubing (available at either hardware or hobby stores) as a sleeve to insert the wire. I cut one end on an angle, just like a large hypodermic needle. Remove the plastic eye and then insert the "needle" in the eye and then out near the leg. Thread the wires through the tube and then pull the needle on through.
