I've had these 2 huge boxes from bookcases that I got for Christmas. They have been cluttering my room for months. I finally bought the stone wall decor from target for $13. Stapled it on the box, glued the skull dollar store door knocker and Voila'! I think I will drill out the eyes and put in white LEDs. Very very cheap to make! I think I spent like under $2 when you take into account the stone backdrop is $13 for 30 feet and I only used like 3. I have another one to do, they will flank my garage.

Life is too short to not do what makes us happy, keeps us sane, or both.

Great idea! That's a nice quick way for someone to make a set of columns.

I've been saving some big boxes like that for awhile with the intention that I would somehow use them for Halloween. I had an idea I might use them for columns but was trying to figure out the best way to go about it. Thank you so much you just solved my dilema. I do have one question for anyone who can answer? What is a good way to anchor them down so they dont get knocked over. Being that they are made of boxes they will be rather light weight.
