I seen this tutorial on this site (Man Eating Plant) and I've started building it. However, I can't figure out how to get the balls out of the paper mache. I used similar balls as the tutorial suggested and now they are stuck in there. I already popped one of the small basketballs and well it made my son very upset with me. But now I need to get the other plastic ball out without popping and the wiffle ball. Can anyone help. I asked the question in the original tutorial but I haven't got a response yet.

all you have to do is carefully cut the paper mache in half, this will allow you to remove the balls. then glue the 2 pieces back together and apply another layer or 2 of paper mache to hide the cut and make it strong again.

its not necessary to pop the balls at all as we would if using the balloon method.

The easiet thing to do is cut each paper mache skin in half, as though you were cutting along the equator. That should allow you to retrieve each ball and have two half spheres to work with. From there, just trim the mouth and glue the two halves together as you want them to look. You can even add another layer or two of paper mache to help strengthen the new shape.
