Good evening everyone, I am hoping to make a rocking granny prop and possibly another prop using wiper motors that I was able to remove from 2 old cars. I don't remember the makes but they were older models. I was looking on Scary Terry's website about wiper motors but neither of my connections points look the same. I have only been able to get them to run at one speed.
Pictures 2 and 3 are the same motor, the only way I can get the motor to run is connecting wires to the 2 outside connections. The 2 motor pics 3 runs in a similar way. Any help would be apreciated

Perhaps you can look the part number up and see what car they fit. Autozone has wiring diagrams on their web page that may help you. On my wiper motors I have to power both the park circuit and the low or high speed circuit to get them to run.

Find a strong 12 VDC source, such as an old computer power supply. Clean a spot on the outside of the motor case and tape the ground wire from the power supply to the clean spot, making a good connection. Using the +12 volt hot wire, touch the tangs inside the motor housing plug until you get the response you're looking for. Generally, you'll find one that runs the motor on high speed and one on low speed. Mark the tangs accordingly. After unplugging your power supply, attach the hot wire to the desired tang. Pull the ground wire off the motor housing and plug the power supply back in. Touch the remaining tangs with the ground wire until you repeat the desired action. Unplug the power supply and attach the ground wire to the appropriate tang. You're done.
If you want to vary the speed of the motor or slow it down, put this speed controller between the power supply and the motor. It will slow the motor without losing any of the motor's torque.Nostalgia isn't what it used to be...
