I've started building my panels, I'm am using 11/16X 2 1/2 furring strips and am going to bolt them to gether using bolts with wing nuts. I've built two panels and it seems to work pretty well the only problem i have run into know is bolting together corners.... if anyone finds a good deal on the coffin locks and wants to do a group buy let me know id be interested. thanks for all the ideas and keep them coming if you have something that will work better.

I find that haunted house walls engineering is often over engineered!
There is zero need for bolts, brackets or anything else. I have used this method for years in major haunted houses with zero problems.

not sure with foam, but with plywood i use little steel plates overlapon two wall sections, 2 screws. put one up high, and one down low. Just a couple drywall screws and the plates are at any home center, look 4 hurricane straps or such. use them high and low so hands on the wall wont touch them

i have used the 2x4 framing bolting them together and your tounge and groove method and BOTH WORK REALLY well... i now use the tounge and goove for 2-sided walls and the framed 2x4 for 1-sided... hopefully this has helped out WSMRFFJAMES. and if you are doing foam: fame 1/8" OSB in the method you prefer and use locktite PL300 foam broad adhesive to attach the foam to it. it wont eat the foam like liquid nails can. good luck!!!
