Anyone here ever heard of a Ness EZ 1000 fog machine? I have been looking at one that is in what seems to be perfect working order, but I am not sure how old it is, and if its even worth messing with. I have never heard of them, and I don't know what kind of quality or even the availability of replacement parts there are for it. I did a search online for them, and came up with very little, so I am a little wary of it...I would sure love to hear from anyone that may know something about them as I am looking at a new chauvet H1300 as well and the budget is getting really tight as the magic night approaches.
    Thanks for your help!!

I've heard of it several years back ( it's an older unit, not sure how old ) & I checked on the web with just as much little luck on info - so my rule is, if it's that hard to find info let alone manufacturer,
then it's too out dated & parts would be impossible to obtain........
These days, with all the search engines on the web & not being able to at least get info on it or who made it gives you the answer your looking for.

Now if it works & you can get it for $25-$40 bucks, might be a good gamble. It probably was $200. unit in it's day. Foggers seem to work forever or die after 3 uses.....
but it's your gamble if you feel it's cheap enough & worth it. My 2 cents

thank you for that valuable info, I was really thinking on the same lines, but wanted to verify my suspicions, really, I dont think I can even justify $20 on it, as thats funds taken away from the new one, that will have a warranty

Never hurts to consider all your info & options, especially when it comes to spending $$$$ on what we do once a year for a few hours on Halloween -

I would pass myself & put it towards a quality & new unit with the warranty, unless they said "take it for free".

Exactly, especially when the foam for my columns is gonna cost me well over $200, I have to be very picky where I spend the money...fortunately, I get 2-3 nights per year use vs. just 1 with the haunted back yard that I participate in and build props for

Sorry for the late reply on this. I have an EZ1000 from back in my DJ days. The last time it was seriously used was over 10 years ago, and was used aboout 4-5 times per month for about 10 years. I never had one issue with it. Mind you, I cleaned it regularly. I pulled it out a few months ago as I may add a second fogger to my display. Guess what, I forgot to emtpy the fog from 10 YEARS AGO. I fired it up, and when the ready light came on I crossed my fingers. Fogged like a champ (a little brown at first mind you), but I did 5 full cycles. NESS made very good products back in the day, i don't know how easy it is to get parts, but it is/was a good machine. Any fogger will last if you care for it. My bad for leaving the fog in it, but I assume it ran as I took great care of it before. Back in the day, this was a HEAVY duty fogger and put out a lot of smoke. My two cents, if you can find one under $50 and it's operational, go for it.
You're a good friend, but if zombies chase us, I will trip you.

Ended up they wanted $75 for it, so I let it go...Just couldnt justify that much for something that old, when $80 more gets me a brand new chauvet 1300 with some kind of warranty. Thank you for the reply, Ray
