This thread is for all the ideas and build tips for those cool e-firecrackers.
So far I've heard of several great ideas, and here are some more...
Electrical fuse box
Cattle prod
Lightning gun
Mad scientist lab gadget
Evil clown with plunger (Killer Klowns style, or Batman)
Part of an electric chair
Connected to a dummy getting "tortured"
Alien spacecraft - either a probe (Ouch!) or part of a crashed saucer
Abandoned mine shaft & dynamite
Pirates - gunpowder keg going off ("Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for..."KABLAM!)
Zombie defense weapon - zombies on a chain link fence getting zapped?
That's a start. Share how you made it!

Inexpensive fuse box
I looked up the prices of the various fuse boxes on ebay. Even used they can be at least $45.00. I figure when I get the crackers, I'll measure mine and then find a cardboard box, spray paint it grey, and then figure out how to make it look thrashed so there's various wires and parts hanging out of it. There should be some good ideas in the thread on the electrical transformer.

Thanks Jeff for starting this thread. Terra did a nice looking transformer last year. I could see trying to rig up a cracker inside an electrical cable of some sort and having that dangling from above. You'd get the light from the cracker and the sound of the popping.
An old medicine cabinet without the mirror might work for a fuse box.

Of course - I should've thought of that! Add an e-cracker to an electrical transformer. And if the transformer is falling down, like in that one build, and making all that noise, it's even better.

If someone is doing a transformer/robot/mechanical alien theme, how about one of the creature props having a damaged arm for example with dangling wires and popping circuitry. You wouldn't want this to be a costume but a prop since the crackers have a pretty loud decibel level.
