Question! Does anyone have experience with purple flood lights? I have found some at 1000bulbs website. But I wasn't sure if anyone had any places they get theirs? Usually I use par38 floods.

I know spirit and others places sell the new LED spolights, I see a "blacklight" that looks purple, but is it really blacklight?? or does it actually look purple on regular tombstones?

I have always wanted to try purple!

My experience with purple has mostly to do with mini-lights. They seem to hold the color, instead of radiate it...if that makes sense.

reg lite bulbs, floods & the spiral lite bulbs that are " black light " bulbs don't hit the mark as they don't hit the true black lite spectrum......
Florescent tubes are the best for large coverage & now the led's on the market are the only 2 true black lites...

Are the LED blacklights effective? (Any good?)

I believe they are, I have not used them personally yet, but read most of write ups on them & they seem to have black lite qualities......way better than bulbs.....

Here is the par 38 purples I was talking about:

    http://www.1000bulbs.com/product/6601/PAR-105650.html

They seem like they would be pretty darn purple!! I have had nothing but good experience with this brand and the colors are very true to what is shown. Purple just isnt sold in lowes or home depot around here (just red, amber, green, blue and yellow).

I have used these exact bulbs they don't give out a lot of light. They show in my opinion kind of a pinky purple. This is not a great pic, but if you can see the tree with the skeletons on it in the background I have used 2 of these bulbs to light. http://www.halloweenforum.com/member...-img-0045.html

Never used purples before as I got tired of trying to find them locally, I prefer to use 2 different colored bulbs to create my purple in the center & the outside wash of the other 2 colors to expand out for added effect.....2 bulbs = 3 colors projected for effects / scenes

You are right, it is a more pinky purple! That is a total bummer! Have you tried adding a blue with it to see if it would come out more purple?

    What about this?

Is this strictly black light? has anyone used these? do they come out purple or just black light??
