Thread: How does this sound?!

Hey everyone i need some help. I had my whole haunted trail planned out for this year and now i am unable to use the land. I have another spot guaranteed to me but its not as big. So in other words i have to come up with a whole new haunt for my charity. I was thinking of doing like a whole late 1800s ghost town. starting with one big dirt path down the middle with buildings on both sides and street posts for lights. Most buildings will be fake (just showing the fronts) but the Butcher shop, Saloon, Hospital and school, will be the buildings people will walk through. The people will just make there way to each building crossing the street with wire barricades to make a realistic path. Then a cemetery and a carnival at the end to top it off. The theme is, this mining town was throwing a festival and when the circus came in town the clowns took over and only a few survived. If you guys can help me with ideas for props or something i can add or just any part of this it, would be greatly appreciated. I will also be posting pictures of the entire haunt starting this week. What if u had the clowns dressesd as normal day to day people! Like a police officer a nurse a postman etc .. Make it seem like they really took over the town?

i was going to suggest the same thing as the previous poster lol
have the clowns still wearing the clown makeup but dressed as the towns people.
maybe have circus animals around made from the animated deer and use faux fur on them to simulate a tiger for instance. and maybe a stuffed monkey with the lil vest on playing creepy clown music from the lil music box thingy the circus monkeies crank a handle on ( whats those things called? )

how about making a very old tattered circus tent in the background , like the circus used when they 1st arrived b4 taking over the town. use a tarp and paint stripes on it and support poles and surround it with (walls = another tarp or plastic) also painted circus style and add the support ropes and spikes. then have the whole inside trashed with chairs knocked over and popcorn everywhere and cotton candy on the ground and random balloons floating around inside. a few shoes and hats left from the audiance having to run for their lives scattered around the tent as well.......

its 5am so i hope this sounds as good later as it does as i envision it in my head right now lol

Those ideas will be perfect! i was already kinda planning on doing that whole circus thing you described boogy, that was going to be the end with maybe like the "chief" clown. I really like the idea of having the normal people be clowns, really good idea guys!

Sounds like a "killer" idea ( kind of rendition of Killer klownz from outer space ).
I always loved the clown scare thing & your "town take over" by psycho clowns is great, hope you run with it & lots of pics if you do !

If you need any audio to go with it, let me know, got lots of twisted circus music / SFX !

I think I see a movie in this idea...call MGM!

How about a barber shop? and the clown barber dressed as Sweeney Todd?

I'd be interested in those SFX too.

How about having victims killed with clown stuff: a corpse with rubber chickens sticking out of the back, a guy with a "BANG" gun's flag through his head, another corpse with it's head stomped by a big red shoe, etc.

lol i will have to watch that movie then! but i will try and take as many pictures as possible and post them on this thread. I would also love to hear what music you have! That is always a huge part in any haunted house.
