Hi Everyone...I want to make a Butcher Shop Room for this years attraction. I really want to put a Deli Food/Meat Display in the room to display body parts in meat packages in it but have no clue on how to make one....Does anyone have an idea on how I can start making one or know of any sites that would help me out????

The there San Jose, if you have a little carpentry skill, i would grab some 1"x2" or 2"x2" wood from Home Depot, -mitter saw very helpful with this build- screws, ( wood glue optional ), white paint & cardboard. Build a rectangle frame ( however long & wide you need or want ), put it on 2' legs - pending how long put a couple of pieces of wood between front to rear to stabilize & be able to place a piece ( A- cardboard - cheaper or 1/8 wood plate ) .

Then build another piece for the top half with the front 30-35-ish degree ( pends on the depth of base ),build a flat back, connect the top & bottom together. The top & sides attach cardboard or wood, around front your option.....

Paint white, For a "glass" front you could use clear white plastic sheet stapled from inside. Add meat dishes inside & on top, smear blood as needed !

Built one years ago for a friends haunt ( sorry don't have pics ) but it was cheap & looked good enough for a nite. Visit your local deli to get a general idea of the counter / meat display.

You can get the package meat on ebay but, don't forget the small items for detail, like an old scale (antique/goodwill) make a ticket counter for next person, couple of "spice" jars on the counter for seasoning the meat. Like sweet and savory spider rub or some such. Please post pics when you get it up and running. A flickering light on the inside top of the counter would add a nice spooky effect too.

Those are all great ideas, I will try to add them to our chop shop. We are doing something similar a deli style chop shop, I picked up an old meat grinder at a garage sale to mount on our meat counter, you may try that as well?? I am going to add Great Stuff to it to make it look like flesh hanging from it, then paint nice glossy deep red.....
What I am going to need is your standard flame thrower...

I've seen hooks that look like meat hooks at Lowe's for about $2 each. I was going to pick up a bunch. Those would work great and at a low cost.

Where are these hooks at? I am looking for something like that to go with the meat grinder in one of my rooms...

The hooks aren't massivly large. Prob. only a few inches long but, I think they would be fine to hand "meat" parts on. If I remember correctly, I think they were over in the paint can/tape section for hanging paint cans. I saw them about a half year ago. I'll try to run by there tomorrow and see since I need to pick up a couple items. Might have been in the misc. section too with all the other hardware.

Love the meat grinder by the way!
