This seems way too easy if it can compete in fog making. I have read that they can be used for stage use as well. Anyone ever used one of these? How many does it take to fill a room with foggy mist?

In a dry place like Arizona you see these and they are called swamp coolers. They work in a low humidity environment but not as well as one would hope. However these would work well if placed around a lawn with a fog chiller. The moisture from the misters would help the chilled fog linger on the ground.

Oops im on my phone. But that's interesting. It might be more cost efficient to buy multiple cheap foggers and build chillers

Well I just watched a video of a 10 head fogger in a sink, and just from watching that I would imagine you would need quite a few to fill a room because the 10 head was just barely filling the sink with fog. Of course, everything depends on the temperature and other weather, but I don't think this would be very price friendly to fill a room. I think it's really intended to cover a pond with fog and not a room. Awesome idea for cauldrons or small ponds though! I think I may grab a single unit for that, def cut down on dry ice costs

They've had these for awhile, they have "pond floaters" that you can put the misters in that float & put in a pond or swimming pool to create a fog on top the water for a "marsh mist" effect.......
I found that the best uses for these or the smaller ones are in tub of water inside a witches cauldron, along an offset pathway in small bowls & cover with moss for a pretty cool effect.
As far as using as a like a reg fogger, not a good application or that kind of results.....for that price you can buy a good fog machine

& the ones with rotating colored lites that you can make pulse or stay one color add to the effect ! http://cgi.ebay.com/REMOTE-CONTROL-F...item3efef6d9ce

I have seen the basic ones for quite awhile but the "commercial grade" thing piqued my interest.
