Thread: How would you endow a female prop?

*Ahem* Yeah, I need some ideas on how to make a female prop torso.
I thought balloons but they can pop.

You could use really thick balloons, like the punching bag balloons so they're less likely to pop. Or get a bra and put the balloons in that LOL

Or, you could take balloons and cover them with papier mache. We did this in school once to make masks for art class... For a mask you cover the balloon with papier mache in the shape of a face, and then when it has hardened you pop the balloon and sand the edges of the mask.
For this purpose though you could just cover the whole balloon. Or you could tape two balloons together and papier mache that.
If you search for papier mache balloon you can find lots of info on how to papier mache a balloon.

Another option would be to use upholstery foam or florists foam and carve it into the proper shape.

do what most teenage girls do... stuff rolled up socks in the bra.

When you can get body forms this cheap I wouldn't even attempt to built it myself

Has anyone else ever noticed that the majority of the realistic prop female bodies look like they have implants? Or maybe it's just easier to make them stick straight out than to figure out how to make them sag realistically.

Wow that is cheap, i might use that in the future. I think I might go the paper mache route.

all the ideas above are excellent, but I have to see what kind of costume the prop will waer.

If your making something that should have saggy breasts get some plastic bowls at the Dollar tree and attach them , usually hotglue, to a bra or sports bra. I can give you an example pic if you want.I have this on a witch prop and she looks great.
