I never understood this! I bought a neat Scene Setter roll a few years ago, but I ended up not using it when I realized it was only 4 feet tall and it would not look right if you doubled it up to cover a whole wall because it was a forest/tree pattern.
I also just found another one I really liked, this "Peeling Plaster Room Roll", but again it is only 4 feet high, and not patterned in a way that you could put another later above it. Why do they do this? Who has 4 foot high walls?![]()

You're right...it makes no sense!! I really want that peeling wallpaper scene setter as well, but I can't get it because it's too small.
Would it really pain them so much as to make a shorter scene setter roll lengthwise and increase the height?
I feel your pain! And confusion.

Also hated that, I've seen a few that were cool but un-usable because they were too short. The "stone" wall one is the only one that works & is stack-able......

I use the peeling wallpaper on the top half of the wall and the wall paneled bottom....That's what they had in mind for that particular scene setter because that's how your typical victorian mansion was built....Not sure if any of my pics in my album show that or not....I'll have to look.....ZR

I don't like the looks of the paneling... The peeling plaster will match my theme but the wood panel wall look just doesn't look right to me for what I am going for.
This is the one (link) I had before which I could not use, because it wouldn't make any sense to have trees on top of trees, and nothing else went with it very well (what could you put under a forest?)
They have a new Friday the 13th forest scene now (not the same forest/pattern as the one I had) that has a 4' forest and then 4' reflected forest below so it looks like the bottom half is a reflection in a lake, which kinda makes sense, I guess... I don't understand why they can't just make 8' tall trees instead though, or something more seamless rather than a reflection look.Zombie Eradication/Disposal Unit (ZEDU) - K-9 Patrol Division

Yeah, they need to further develope the line.
I like this new one-

And I've always liked this one-

They seem to be more into doing add-ons this year though. I've always wanted them to do a haunted house facade one. I guess something can be done with what's out there, but they could use window shutter add-ons for sure. If you're really into it, you can experiment with depth of field placement too. For that tree scene, you could have the trees on the top part of the wall and a brick wall on the bottom, but the brick wall attached to a separate 4' wall out in front a bit [insulation foam boards]. This gives a depth of field illusion. Behind the front wall you can uplight the trees blue, and perhaps illuminate the brick wall in front a faint yellow. Playing with color and depth, kinda like what theater sets do, is more effective than expecting one flat wall to look right. But yeah I agree, it would be nice to have 8'x10 for patterns like trees.

I have the forest scene setter, and the stone wall one as well, which does work better on tall walls. Like you guys I have also wondered why 4 feet.
I have used the forest one quite successfully however on our yard's perimeter fence. Used two rolls of it for 100 feet of fencing I think it was. It created a nice background to the yard haunt, adding a spookiness to the yard. I placed my real cemetery props some feet in front of it thereby creating a mid-ground to the scene. Other props were placed in the foreground to create a nice field of view in all. I didn't have any cemetery fencing at that point which otherwise would have been in the foreground. Unfortunately we don't have any pics of it. I placed the forest as high up on the fence as I could attach it so the trees could be seen beyond the tombstones. Overall it worked pretty well.
I considered using it indoors one year on the walls of the second floor hallway which has an somewhat narrow landing that's open to view from the downstairs where guests would be passing. My guests would be able to look up from below and see it if I placed it a bit higher on the wall above the floor level. I had planned on adding props (or maybe it was the scene setter tombstones added to the wall on top of the trees but at the bottom of them kind of hiding the tree trunks) to complete the look. Had planned on adding crows to the stair rail and suspending bats from the ceiling in the stairwell area. If I had been willing to cut the trees into some panels I thought they would fit and look nicely on our stairwell wall that varies in height as the stairs go up to the second floor. Our stairs have an open metal railing instead of a pony half-wall so the trees would have been visible going all the way to the second floor.

We LOVE theroom Rolls and use them every year for our decorations. We feel it really just ties everything together. Room Rolls were ment to be matched with other room rolls that's why thet are only 4ft high. Here are a couple of our pics of some room rolls and another room roll that was ment to match it with.
Here is a pic of the woods your talking about matched on the bottom with the cemetery room roll. add ons is scene setters fear the Reaper
