    Hallow all -
I found this site today while browsing for unusual haunt ideas. I can imagine this adorning a room with pirate effects, bugs crawling (maybe using a Hi-Rez projection) or a creepy Indiana Jones/Cave or jungle scene. Could also dress up a tomb or graveyard set-up. Could we make it for less?

I can just go into my pond & find plenty of algae thankyouverramuchsa!! No need to purchase any.

Cool stuff! Anyone doing a Bioshock or Pirate theme could definitely benefit from buying this stuff. Looks neat...but overpriced. Maybe a few peeps can split the cost and divide it up?
For a swamp theme, it would be epic! Looks like moss on steroids! What's it made of?

I think the web link (see my first post) has pricing and other info. Comes in various colors too! But def. a bit pricey. Still....inspires some ideas, non?!

I could really use some of that for my Bioshock theme... Too bad it's so expensive!
Last year I looked everywhere for some seaweed but could not find anything affordable (or anything as nice looking as this.)

My web store has some green freaky fabric/creepy cloth. Would that work?
The only other thing I can think of that might work for seaweed is a tikki grass skirt.
    Seeweed's a tough one.

I thought about using some of that fabric stuff last year, it won't exactly work for seaweed but it might still fit the theme somewhat...
Last year the Bioshock/ocean theme was just in the bathroom so I ended up just using this 4 foot long black garland made of spiky plastic stuff that looked seaweed-like, and some jute material.

This year I am trying to do the whole house in a Bioshock theme though so I will need more decorations. The seaweed and netting is probably only going to be in one room though, since most of Bioshock is more decaying art deco than underwater.

Find something like a green vinyl tarp and try cutting out long irregular strands and bunch them together. The heavier gauge (thickness) you can find the better.
