    Looking for candles similar to what were used in the movie Sleepy Hollow. The candles were standard size but produced a large flame. Anyone know what these are called, or where to get them?

    I have reproduced that effect with tiki torch fluid in a tomato paste can using a custom wick. Kind of like a "mini tiki torch" inside the pumpkin.

    Tiki brand even sells little fuel canisters you could hide in a candle to get a larger flame.

    There's also the gel fuels you could use to create such an effect.

    These are old photos taken before I bought the house I'm in now, but I used the technique I mentioned above to light these pumpkins.


    I was in a hurry to carve this one. I used a sawzall.
