    Hello All,

I am looking to add some PVC tubing for a wall structure. Some of these walls will need support that will be over cement. Does anyone have any ideas on was to mount or at least stabilize the tubing on cement without drilling or damaging the surface?

    Thanks,
    Tim

Why not just use a spade bit and drill out holes halfway then screw the pvc pipe into them. I would use a wider board for the base so you get stabilty. Also you could hide bricks on the other side so no one will see them. It will hold...but beware of strong winds.

Yes that is correct. This is more of a divider with plastic on it so it does not need to hold much.something I was thinking about was about was velcro....

Scrap using pvc I tried to make a spray booth with it and it didn't stand up at all. I would use some basic wall framing by ripping two by fours in half and then using luan( a cheaper type of plywood) for the actual wall. or maybe just hang to pvc from the ceiling.

Can you offer a basic drawing? Is this a low concrete wall? Or is this like putting a fake wall on a garage floor for instance?

Yep a fake wall on a garage floor. It is meant as a divider, it is not meant to handle any load.

I would stop thinking "wall" and make stanchions (the poles pictured below) by pouring concrete into a 5 gallon bucket and putting the PVC in that - then instead of running rope between them, you could put fake barbed wire, or something like that. If you really wanted the wall effect, you could even attach foam sheets to the stanchions.

If in a a garage, why not suspend it from the ceiling? Then, just weight the bottom to keep it hanging straight.

I was going to suggest sand filled buckets. But then you have to hide the buckets. You could also put a "Y" connection with a leg and cap the end of the leg. Before atttaching the leg, fill it with sand, water, or concrete. This leg option won't work if there is traffic on that side of the wall as well.

Maybe describe your space a bit more or post a sketch?

You can make the PVC into a soccer goal frame and put a couple bags of sand over the back bottom support to hold it in place. But I would stay away from the PVC and use picture hanging wire or rope. Connect the wire to two walls and drape the plastic sheeting over the wire and use hot glue to make a pocket in the plastic. Then sit some weights on the bottom of the plastic. I might have a picture of this setup....I used it with my first haunt in 2000
