edit: I found the proper way to search the site for the answers I needed.... *sigh* Sorry for the wasted thread.

    Hello!

I was wondering if there is some sort of Creepy Cloth alternative out there. All of my searches keep leading me to stuff that's around 10 bucks for a 30" x 12' piece. I'm not trying to get somethin' for nuthin' here, but that seems to be pretty expensive for what the stuff actually is....... and I need quite a bit of it.

Is there something else I should be searching for? Something that with a little elbow grease and ingenuity I could make myself? I was wondering if there is another type of cotton cloth that is cheaper to buy in bulk, and then dye and tear up myself.

    Thanks for any replies!

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Its such a high price for what it is. It seems somewhat similar to cheesecloth, obviously not as tightly woven. Im very interested in this topic as well.

If you use this method of searching halloweenforum.com:

    LINK

Then you'll come across many great responses on this topic over the last few years.

Looks like buying basic cheese cloth from.... anywhere.... and then washing it, letting it hang out to dry, and then staining it with brewed tea and coffee looks like one of the best tricks. At least, that's what I'll be trying first. Tea, coffee, and Rit dye.

Also read a few posts that recommend landscaping fabrics that sound interesting as well.

I plan on using it generously all over my front covered sidewalk area (banister, posts, and what not), as well as my two (in the works) props. But, where I need a bulk of it to cover my entire front hedge. I'll have orange string lights underneath it so transparency is key there.

btw Chop Shop.... you're an inspiration man, your work is phenomenal.

I know that closer to October, the dollar stores carry this stuff for $1.50 - $2.00 per package.

    EXCELLENT!

I saw this mentioned somewhere else, but the corresponding link was broken.

I use beef netting. You can dye it. I use Rit to make it glow under blacklight. It's pretty cheap.
