First off, OH MY GOD! It has been too long since i've been here. I miss you all so much!

Second, I'm slowly getting back to doing things for halloween, and this year I wanted to complete my old coffin. (animated coffin) I've got a pica-boo controller w/two circuits I'd like to use. My thoughts are, when the PB is triggered, speakers will turn on with the audio of a screaming girl, while at the same time, a strobe is turned on, shinning the skeleton that sits inside the coffin. I can't make it pneumatic because I won't have access to an air compressor where we will be at.

    Any ideas? I'm all open!

What do you need help with? The pb wiring? I take it you bought it from Frightprops? If so they will help you a lot. Also, check out their site. They added A LOT of new how to videos.

How about just vibration? Trigger a bolted on old orbiting sander.
What doesn't kill you can still make you walk funny.

No, I can wire it just fine. I'd like some ideas on what type of animation I should do to the coffin.

You can use electric linear actuators to lift your prop
Look them up on eBay...$40 will get you a 12vdc actuator

Check out Otaku's wiper motor controlled coffin. I built one and it works great.

Try two strobes, one flashing fast and the other flashing slow. Very disorienting.
    Never, ever pick a scab.

Rather than use liner electric actuators weve got actual electronic actuators that look just like the pneumatic ones but are just as fast if not faster than the pneumatics and as far as power they pack a punch.
Plus theyre quite as can be.
    Hope this helps.

I like the idea dkelley. I'll have to give that a try.

ky, i'm not really wanting a motion on my coffin. Just some lights and sounds.

If you go with strobes make sure they come with gel colors so you can add some color to the coffin flashes or worse case if the strobes dont come with gel color lenses you can always use a dry erase marker in a pinch to color the lenses. Good luck with the coffin prop.
