You can power with an ATX supply. What are you using for your MITB?

You might find one cheaper than MonsterGuts but I do like their connector that they sell with this one. http://monsterguts.com/index.php?act...d&productId=11

Just use a 12v power supply. Just get one with more amps then the motor. Usually they are 500ma to 1a. Splice the wires and solder or crimp them onto the terminals.
You can use a computer power supply. Just short out the 2 middle pins(green, black) by creating a jumper so it thinks it is plugged into the motherboard and can run all by itself. They work well and offer alot of different voltages. They are large to work with though.

12V DC or less but you need one that can supply 5amps of current to drive a wiper motor with a load on it. Anything less and you run the risk of frying your PS. The lower the voltage the slower the motor will run basically.

Ctarpey, please keep me posted on how this works out for you. I mainly use deer motors But I have several things I want to do that would work better with a wiper motor.

Okay, a quick question related to this. I bought this 12VDC, 10 amp CCTV power supply:12V DC or less but you need one that can supply 5amps of current to drive a wiper motor with a load on it. Anything less and you run the risk of frying your PS. The lower the voltage the slower the motor will run basically.

Here are the specs:
12VDC@10amp supply current
Multiple outputs (16 channel)
16 auto-reset PTC fuse protected output
Power on/off switch
DC regulated, over current and voltage protected
Individual LED indicator for each out put
Dimensions:25cm×21.3cm×9.5cm
Fuse Rating: 1.1A
My question is: If I wanted to run a 5 amp motor off of this, could I put a jumper across 5 channels, or something like that? Any info would be appreciated."Waiter, there's a hair in my soylent green!"
