I'm updating my pumpkin king and I need help figuring out how to make a fake fire on the scarecrow's base that holds him up. and i don't have alot of money so i would use things from trash or sale http://www.halloweenforum.com/member...2010-prop.html i want it to resemble this but without real fire burning or scarecrow falling apart lol

Have you considered doing the cold burning coals? How To: Cold Burning Coals

Burning coals, as Shadowbat said first came to my mind as well. That or faux flames. Orange/red/yellow silks or lightweight fabric with small computer fans or something alike underneath to make the fabric flutter. I'll do a quick search on here see if I can find any threads on the topic.
