Has anyone bought the $70 (when on sale) Harbor Freight drill press?

It will make building test tube racks and fake eyeballs much easier. I don't know how many shill reviews they have on their website but I've seen a few "at the very least... it's worth the price you pay for it" on some other websites. Most of the complaints I've seen are people who try to do huge production runs of metal drilling with it, I figure wood and plastic would be less of an issue.
I really shouldn't get it since it's outside my budget but I have several other projects I want to use it on right now and the store in my area finally got new stock in (for the last 2 months of sales they had a semi-mangled obviously returned and taped up box so it was definitely not a good purchase at the time)

I've got a coupon for that same drill press that will get it for you for $59.99 Good through 7/31. If you want the coupon it is yours. Flyer says you can use them online ? Not sure what you need to redeem it. There is a number printed under the barcode26588210. If you want the actual coupon just let me know.

I bought a Craftsman. But as is the case with a lot of products these days, it was made in China. I use it for all kinds of drilling and even some pseudo milling. My big problem with these budget tools is tolerance. For instance I had totally unreasonable quill chatter on the unit I bought. After replacing the quill under warranty, I still had the problem. I ended up drilling holes in various locations surrounding the quill and threading for 1/4 20 brass screws that I adjust to stop the chatter.
My next purchase will be a real mill and lathe.

Ooh, found a coupon for $49.99 online. It's supposedly a print-only coupon but the guys over at slickdeals say most stores don't care as long as the coupon code verifies in the computer. I really need to remember to dig for coupons online for places other than craft stores and office supply stores or I would have bought it for full-normal-sale price. If they won't accept it I'll ask you for the real one. Thanks!
Where do you get your coupons from? I know I'm signed up for their mailing lists but I don't get anything very good. Are you in the insider club?

No, never signed up for the insider club. That one came in the mail. Very cool that you found another for $49. Really gets the price down there. If for some reason that doesn't work out, just send me a PM with your info and I'll have it in the mail next day. Remember, my coupon is only good until 7/31.
