Okay, I've been experimenting with a mache product called 'Sculptamold' It's advertised as having the best qualities of POP, clay, and mache......Not sure if that's true but I used some in a couple of skull molds and this is what I got.......
This is a medium skull. Not quite lifesize.

These two are closer to lifesize.
This one is itty bitty.
They take forever to dry but you can speed them up in the oven. When they do dry they are extremely light weight. You can cut, sand and paint them. These are only half skulls. I'm gonna bulk them out with traditional mache and use them in groundbreakers.

How did you like working with the stuff, and if you've used celluclay, can you do a compare/contrast?
I've been meaning to try it out instead of celluclay, but just haven't got around to it (mostly because it's not sold locally)

I've never used celluclay. I just used the sculptamold in some plastic skull molds. I am definately no sculpter! LOL. But from what i've found around the web, Celluclay is far superior. I took a paper mache skull and used the sculptamold to build up features. It is lumpy and ends up a neat texture. But that is the extent of my experience with it. I like it and am gonna try some different things with it.
