This thread here is for those who bought a 2010 Demonica prop from Tekky, and would wish to demand tekky an exchange for your broken demonica, for a new 2011 prop. You need to put how quickly your prop stopped working, how you are an important tekky customer, your frustration, your name, your email adress (so they can answer you back) and your city (and where did you buy your demonica). I'll copy and paste this comments and send them to tekky toys any time soon, and maybe we can get a deal.

I bought my demonica last year on Spirit Halloween on their 0ctober 2010 season. She worked a few times, and then her neck turn stopped working. On halloween night, after using her just three times before that night, she collapsed and stopped working. I changed the batteries, and still she worked no more. Her telescopic device stopped working, and her based stopped making the "demonica" noises. All this, on the night when I was displaying her. I paid $100 for her, but don't want money, but a functional demonica, that won't brake as easy as any other 2010 demonica would of.

my demonica worked for ten minutes until she died on me completely, i returned for another, and that one was broken when removed from the box. finally, i got a third figure, she worked fine for about two days and then she stopped moving completely.

Might be safer to collect info by PM. I know I personally wouldn't want my personal details out on the web for just anyone to collect... Halloween Forum is very popular in the search engines and we get lots of views from people that might use the info to spam you or otherwise bug the heck out of you.

Well weeks ago I told Tekky about how my demonica stopped working (before i knew about new demonicas) and they sent me a telescopic device and a platform for free, telling me it was their resposability because We (customers of tekky) paid a lot for their products. So, I finally recieved the box, and tested Demonica. Before you see the video, I must tell she was DEAD; NO MOVEMENT (on my halloween night) before I got the new replacement parts. And when i first tested her, (back on October) her neck already had some flaws. Now, I got the new base and telescopic device from tekky for free, without having to ship anything, and she works better than before. See it for yourselves, and judge if she works fine:

This is why I would rather spend my hard-earned greenbacks making my own props.

What is the difference between the 2 telescopic towers?

Well I found no visible difference (I think these are spare parts but of the old demonica) I'm telling you this because they maybe demonicas work again, and tekky is more willing to send free replacement parts (I asked for base and telescopic device) and she work better than before, since from the many times i tested her she worked fine, while when she had the other telescopic device, she stopped moving her neck correctly by the second time she turned on. So, I'm telling all this, in case you are willing to ask for spare parts or if you wish to continue with the letter to be sent to tekky in demand for a new demonica. But, I see a better advantage to ask for the free parts, other wise(If we convince them) We'll have to spend money on shipping to send the old demonicas and get the new ones, so you tell me what you want.

That's great they helped you out. Also keep in mind to see if the retailer where you buy a prop will honor an exchange- even a year later. For instance, I bought a tekky guardian of the gave prop on sale after halloween 2009 from buy costumes. When I opened the prop for the 2010 season, it was missing half the damn prop. I called customer support to get the missing parts and they just sent me a whole new prop. Most of the time, it's a simple matter of them having the prop in stock for exchange. And if the retailer is really good, they'll honor an exchange even after the warranty period. Your mileage may vary with this, but I've had good experiences in this area with all the majors- spirit, halloween asylum, and buy costumes. All have gone the extra step to support me after spending the money. Two years out- forget it. But within a year, it's a good bet they'll try and work with you. HANG ONTO ALL RECEIPTS. First thing they ask for is the order number. I keep them in the original boxes for safe keeping. Good luck all.
