Just came back from DOLLAR TREE where I picked up a few pairs of something from the toy section they call a "Plastic Claw".
To me it looked like something off of a mechanical robot (see where my brain is going with this) or one of those carnival glass booths where the claw grabs onto a toy--for a haunt maybe haunted dolls or body parts for zombies. It has a hand grip and when you squeeze it back it closes the claw. I'm sure this will be a fun item to work into my haunt. Heck you could even do something simple like a robot with a person inside and when an unsuspecting ToTer walks buy the robot comes to life and grabs for him. I could also see using it in a toxic lab set up where you have these tricked out claws that operate through a "sealed" glass chamber filled with some toxic material or maybe even an alien creature or face hugger inside.
I'll take a picture and come back here and post it. Pretty cool for just $1.
Those things have been around for years. This must be an ultra-cheap version. Good for static use, don't expect it to last if you want to make it move.
