Finished my last of the rebuilds. I had to rebuild because one fell of the shelf and took others with them. Last year my build had a flaw. It worked well in the test (ran for an hour). But night of it broke about 90 minutes into it. The culprit was the wire would heat up and break. I was not overly happy with the arm movement, The old one pivoted at the shoulder, which was not natural.
Here is last years version:
This year I chopped him down, moved the front hand to behind his body and re-did the arm motion. Over the winter I built my parents a waving Santa Mickey. The arm was moved by a deer motor. I used a threaded rod to move it. The motion was smooth. So, I took the concept and applied it to this. Came out much closer to what I originally wanted. Here he is in the 2011 version.
Here is a video of it in action along with a night test. I like the yellow light the best, please let me know what you think.

Very cool. I just love what you do with Bluckies! The things you come up with are just ingenious. I'm goint to say I think I like the yellow light the best too, there is just something about it that works well with the prop. It looks like it picks up a little more color and detail on it, like the bowtie and the leaves that the other lights seem to kind of wash out. Awesome work!
